Judy Rossignuolo-Rice

Judy has a BFA and MA in Theater. She has been a professional actor, director, singer, and acting coach for over 35 years. She certainly loves her time on stage, with principal roles in COLLECTED STORIES, PICNIC, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST’S WIFE, THE PRICE, THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, HAY FEVER, THE HEIRESS, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, NOISES OFF, A… MY NAME IS ALICE, THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN-IN-THE-MOON MARIGOLDS, A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN, PARK YOUR CAR IN HARVARD YARD, THE DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS, I’M NOT RAPPAPORT, and DEAR WORLD, to name some of her favorites. She won the prestigious “Artisan Award” for her role as Mama Ferrante in TWO MANY BOSSES directed by Dale Calandra.

Judy can be seen in several national commercials, including AT&T U-verse and Method cleaning products, as well as print and voiceover work.

She is also a well known and highly acclaimed cabaret performer in the Chicagoland area, with sold-out shows at the Skokie Theatre, Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret, and Drew’s on Halsted.

Judy has practiced her art all over Europe, including as an adjudicator and director for the IMA-E’s Tournament of Plays.

Judy’s directing credits include critically acclaimed productions of ART, OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, HAY FEVER, SHMULNICK’S WALTZ, MEDEA , CROSSING DELANCEY, THE GRADUATE, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, BILOXI BLUES, ANNIE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, and BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE among others.

Judy is a former resident member of Illinois Theatre Center. For commercial, film, and TV she is agented exclusively by Paonessa Talent Agency.

Bernard Rice

Bernard (Bernie) has made hundreds of appearances on stage in many dozens of roles. Favorites include Tevye in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (with his wife Judy Rossignuolo-Rice as Golde), Pirelli in SWEENEY TODD, John in THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES, Coach in THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON, Serge in ART, Howard in PICNIC, and several of Shakespeare’s memorable characters.

His directing credits include CALIFORNIA SUITE, COLLECTED STORIES, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST, A COUPLA WHITE CHICKS SITTING AROUND TALKING, and EXTREMETIES, as well as productions of his own original plays and musicals, including his PLAYING THE PALACE and GOOD NIGHT MY LOVE, both for which he wrote book, lyrics, and music.

He has also appeared (along with Judy) in Stuttgart, Germany, in productions of THE GUYS and BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, for the U.S. Military Department of Morale, Welfare and Recreation.

His cabaret performance credits include “Comedy Musicale,” a revue of songs from vaudeville and early Broadway, which he created and directed for Chicago Cabaret Professionals’ Musical Mondays series. He also created, directed, and narrated a multimedia fundraiser cabaret to support victims of Hurricanes María and Irma, which struck Puerto Rico in 2017. And Judy and he co-wrote ONCE UPON A TIME, a sentimental cabaret featuring standards from the Great American Songbook.

He’s seen in several films, including KILLING POE, ROUNDABOUT AMERICAN, THE UNITED STATES, TRAIN TOWN by Keith Beardon, and CHEAT CHEAT, BANG BANG. He’s on television and in radio commercials, and in a featured role in a web series, THE OLD QUARTER.

He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Dramatists Guild of America, immediate past president of Chicago Cabaret Professionals, former Network Playwright with Chicago Dramatists, and a former resident member of Illinois Theatre Center.
